The Wandering: Dead Space 3 Movie Clip

  This is my version of a trailer for the video game Dead Space 3. I have never played this game myself (The closest I have ever gotten is Call of Duty when it comes to war games) but it was interesting and challenging to score a new composition for this video. It begins with a soldier in the cold, then memories flood into his head. There is footage of the game from there until the end.

The 2000s Mall

 Our world has gotten more and more depersonalized by the minute. Adults throwing temper tantrums, not being able to log into a computer without it tracking your account to a certain device, and robots making decisions for us have become the norm. And this is the world that I graduated into to work in. Particularly in the last four years, I have seen people behave in ways that they should be ashamed of. I have seen six-year-olds behave much more maturely than many adults I have seen. I realize that I am only in the first few years of my working life, but not too long ago things were much better. The Internet, cell phones and email are all older than me, but I think we need much, much more moderation of what I grew up with that has now grown out of control. If things could go back to the way they were when I was a kid, and even as a young teenager, life would be so, so much better. I know I have said this before, we need to go back to the 2000s. The Field Trip and the Dulcimer

I went on many field trips during my childhood when I attended a private Christian school in the area. One of the most influential field trips I went on was a trip to Virginia's Explore Park.  Explore Park is a recreational park with hiking and biking trails and old pioneer houses. When I was growing up, not that long ago, it used to be a living history museum, complete with reenactments of period food, chores, and music. This part of the park just didn't have the funds to operate anymore, so it closed in 2007. The buildings are still there to look at, but lack the workers who added so much character to the attraction. Here I am in the center with the braids!  It was early October of 2002.
