The Tango Lesson Video Clip

 
                  The video clip that I scored for is from the movie "The Tango Lesson." It is about a blind man who makes many mistakes in his life and cannot be given a second chance. Eventually he learns from his mistakes. In this scene, he is shown socializing in a restaurant with a young man who works for him. The young man's fiancee is also present. The blind man asks the young woman to tango with him. She admits she is afraid of making a mistake in front of everyone at the restaurant. So he says that if she gets tangled up, to "Tango On."

                I at first thought of the tango as a Mexican dance. The first take of the score I wrote was a waltz. My professor showed me tango music, which was completely different than what I thought!
 It was a challenge, but I am glad to be asked to write a variety of pieces in a variety of styles. Because life contains many different things for us to enjoy.

 Our world has gotten more and more depersonalized by the minute. Adults throwing temper tantrums, not being able to log into a computer without it tracking your account to a certain device, and robots making decisions for us have become the norm. And this is the world that I graduated into to work in. Particularly in the last four years, I have seen people behave in ways that they should be ashamed of. I have seen six-year-olds behave much more maturely than many adults I have seen. I realize that I am only in the first few years of my working life, but not too long ago things were much better. Polly Esther's Life

My baby kitty, Polly Esther, passed away June 3rd after 18 years of a good life, and finally, aging and refraining from eating for a few months. She may have been in pain from a tumor too.  I knew Polly would pass away sooner or later, as we all will die eventually. I was happy that she had made it to the legal age where she could smoke and vote. Not that she should've done the former, as it's harmful to one's health, and I think she would've done a good job with the latter, voting for LimberButt McCubbins for president (look him up), and choosing whether to vote DemoCat or RepubliCat. I hope any cat that I am a human to can make it this long.   I have always loved cats. I had wanted a cat from the time I was five years old. I remember laying in bed with my mother one night, and I told her, "Mommy, I want a cat. And I want to name her Polly." She said, "We'll have to pray for a kitty, honey." The Quiet Girl- Thoughtfulness   Artist: The Quiet Girl Song: Thoughtfulness Album: Sample Studio Recording "Reflections"          I have 2 studio recordings I have made now, as I wrote earlier. This is one of them. This is an original song I wrote called "Thoughtfulness", written for the hammered dulcimer and played by me. I am learning to use the studio well and it took forever for me to learn how to edit and export music, but I know these things well now. I am getting better and better at it, and I am better at it even now than I was when I made this recording, which was only about a month ago.    Recording in a studio is different from performing. Of course, you always have to practice to sound as good as possible, like if you were to perform in front of an audience. But when you are recording, if you make a mistake and it takes you 10 tries to get a part right, after you are done recording, you can keep the 10th try where you got it rig
