Dragon #2: Medieval Tapestry

   This is the second dragon of my series that I am working on. I painted it to look like a tapestry in the Middle Ages. It is an original acrylic painting as well.

Polly Esther's Life

My baby kitty, Polly Esther, passed away June 3rd after 18 years of a good life, and finally, aging and refraining from eating for a few months. She may have been in pain from a tumor too.  I knew Polly would pass away sooner or later, as we all will die eventually. I was happy that she had made it to the legal age where she could smoke and vote. Not that she should've done the former, as it's harmful to one's health, and I think she would've done a good job with the latter, voting for LimberButt McCubbins for president (look him up), and choosing whether to vote DemoCat or RepubliCat. The 2000s Mall

 Our world has gotten more and more depersonalized by the minute. Adults throwing temper tantrums, not being able to log into a computer without it tracking your account to a certain device, and robots making decisions for us have become the norm. And this is the world that I graduated into to work in. Particularly in the last four years, I have seen people behave in ways that they should be ashamed of. I have seen six-year-olds behave much more maturely than many adults I have seen. I realize that I am only in the first few years of my working life, but not too long ago things were much better. The Internet, cell phones and email are all older than me, but I think we need much, much more moderation of what I grew up with that has now grown out of control. If things could go back to the way they were when I was a kid, and even as a young teenager, life would be so, so much better. I know I have said this before, we need to go back to the 2000s. Everybody Wants To Be A Cat- Clarinet Ensemble Arrangement

I arranged "Everybody Wants to Be A Cat" for the Clarinet Ensemble at my school. I love the Aristocats (and cats in general!) and this is one of my favorite songs. In the original, the improvised line underneath Scat Cat's voice is a clarinet. This is my favorite part, so I decided to keep that while arranging different parts to the clarinets. There are four parts for B flat clarinet, the E flat clarinet plays the loud, obnoxious trumpet parts, and the bass clarinet plays the part of Scat Cat as well as the drums and piano in the second section. The arrangement includes the first section, which is in C minor and has a swing tempo, then immediately goes into the second section, which is straight eighths and in F minor. I love all the changes and transitions in this song, so I arranged it accordingly.
